Once again we received some Canadian visitors.

On our way to Lake Titisee we made a stop in Freiberg.
It is such an amazing city with a beautiful downtown square
busy with people having lunch, coffee and strolling.

We spent the night in Lake Titisee.
We were right in the heart of the black forest.
It is absolutely beautiful!
The Romantik Hotel
The Black Forest region is the home of the cuckoo clocks.
It was in the year 1730,
that the clockmaker Franz Ketterer created the first one
in Schoenwald in the Black Forest.
He succeeded in imitating the natural cukcoo call.
Today this typical Black Forest cuckoo clock
ticks in almost every living-room
throughout the world and has brought fame to its home country.
We were not used to the snow but it was not that big of a deal to us.BUT our canadian visitors had seen enough of it from back home!!
Cake n' Coffee n' Beer?
Time for cake n' coffee!!
We went to a small town close to us called Bad Wimpfen.
We went to a castle about 20 minutes outside of Heilbronn. Excellent Appel Strudel!!! Mami Chantal and Mom had coffee n' cake, Papa Dennis preferred the german beer.
Day Trips...Heidleberg and Rothenberg
We took a few day trips together.
At the Heidleberg Castle.
And here we are in Rothenberg at the criminal museum.
This is what happens when the husband and wife can't agree on directions.
Basin
We live in the area of Germany where majority of the wine is made. There are vineyards everywhere! Some families that grow the vineyards have restaurant type houses set up on certain dates of the year where you can go and sample the wine and some german food.
These houses are called Basins.
We all went out to a Basin one night for dinner.

Good Night's Sleep?
How comfortable could this sleeping position really be?
As a mom, I'm not complaining.
She sleeps 12 - 14 hours at night so if this is what
keeps her asleep, I'm all for it!
