Jaime

Hello! Let me introduce myself: My name is Jaime.
Welcome to my blog.

First and foremost, I am a mom. I am also a proud wife, loyal friend, travel bug, fashion lover and fitness fanatic.  I have two bright, beautiful, kind children.  As we enter into survival mode of the teen years, we definitely find ourselves challenged.  But no challenge comes without some sorda reward, and I'm confident we are doing our best in raising two amazing humans.

Second, I'm a supportive, proud wife of a hockey coach. #hockeywife  I've known my husband half my life, we met in the university days.  I fell for this tall, dark, handsome, athletic man. I'm a big sucker for hockey hair, and this guy had the look hands down! ( Still does )  He whisked me off my feet and 6 months later we were living abroad in Germany as he began his professional career as a hockey player.  First came love, then came marriage, then came two babies in a european baby carriage.  After several moves all over the world, in 2010 his career as a player ended and his coaching career began. September 2020 we moved to Vancouver Island.  There is something incredibly hopeful about a fresh start, and we were ready.  The move to the island is absolutely everything I expected and hoped for.  The beach walks along the ocean are extremely therapeutic and I find myself regularly chasing sunset views.  I know, I do make it sound pretty dreamy - but it really is.

I'm a loyal, considerate, social butterfly.  I love people and I love being surrounded by them.  I'm fascinated by personalities and passion. Friendship is one of the most important things one can invest in.  I have beautiful friendships.  They are my safe-space circle of truth.  I've never felt more accepted for who I am without shame, without hesitation.  Friendship can save your life or make the bad parts sting just a little less. It's worth the investment.

Last but not least, I love everything fashion, fitness and travel.  I am a customer service agent for Air Canada Jazz. It's perfectly fitting for a travel bug like me to work for an airline; the travel perks are everything.  And when I'm not at the airport I am meeting with clients to motivate, encourage and guide them to their weight loss goals as a health and wellness coach. Talk about loving what you do; I have always had a passion to help others in the health and wellness industry, and it feels like I've found the perfect fit. For fun, I'm a stylist for a modelling agency.  Fashion is my passion and I'm living my best life assembling accessories and collaborating outfits.  As for my fitness addiction, what can I say - I'm one of those gym junkies who loves all things fitness. The classes, the instructors, the friendships, the atmosphere.

Success. What is success?  To me, it is all about balance.  Family. Health. Friends. Career.  To truly achieve success, you must live your life in balance.  As a modern woman, I'm raising a family, supporting my husband's career, while balancing my own work life.  I have a happy, healthy, loving family - everything else is a fantastic bonus.  We surround ourselves with good people. Friends we call family.  Your health is your wealth, it truly is! One of my favorite quotes. Today's world offers so much busy, stress, expectations, competition.  We need downtime. We need exercise.  We need to focus and take better care of ourselves; mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Focus on you. Love yourself.  I cannot stress this enough.  Do something you enjoy which focuses entirely on you.  Eat right, sleep enough, commit to an exercise program. Go outside: nature is therapeutic.  Remember to choose the life balance right for you.   Don't adopt someone else's definition unless it fits comfortably with you. When it comes to life balance, one size does not fit all.  As mothers, we are natural caregivers.  We tend to put everyone else first.  Everyone benefits from a better you - our children our spouses, our friends, our co-workers.  Finding your balance in life is essential to unleashing your true potential.  Oh, and great eyebrows.  I always feel like a million bucks leaving the house when my eyebrows are right on point.

This is me.
Enjoy all the blog updates.
XO Jaime
