Becker Family Christmas Greeting 2009

Wowsers, did 2009 fly by for you? It definitely did for us! Between the moving, packing, unpacking, unpacking, unpacking, working, night-class, kidlet activities, hockey(how did hockey sneak in there), we did not see December coming! Although life has been keeping us very busy, we have been enjoying our time back and the time shared with families and friends.

I went back to work for Scotiabank part-time and then full-time. I can hear the GASP from you all. Yes, full-time! I am actually enjoying it. After quite a few years out of the work force and trying to perfect my mother/wife duties it was time to give my family a break and get out of the house.

Bella is enjoying preschool, swim lessons and cheerleading. The cheerleading has got to be the cutest activity a little girl can be involved in! She absolutely loves it. They learn how to do cheers, dance, stunts, etc. She has also become a teenager overnight. She cannot leave the house without glitter and lipgloss, her tights, socks, shirt must match. Yes, she loves to be a girly girl but you ask any of the boys at daycare and they will tell you that she can also give a good body slam.

Brax is just something else. He is this little boy that I cannot wait to see when I wake up in the morning or when I'm having a bad day for the simple reason that he is the happiest little man on earth! He always has a smile or a giggle and his hugs go without words. He is very attached to his sister and gets very upset when she leaves him behind when she scoots off to school. He even thought the one afternoon that if he found himself a backpack he could come with her to school. My heart broke as I had to tell him no.

I mentioned adjustments, right? There has been a rumour going around that Jason has taken a coaching position in Prince George. Completely, totally true. Just like that, we are back in the hockey life. It wasn't something we were looking for, it was something that found us. We talked about it and to be honest there wasn't really anything to talk about, we were all missing the hockey life even being out of it for such a short period of time.
I said I'd never be a coach's wife. Never say never,
I am proof of that.
Well, that's our family in a nutshell for 2009.

Wishing you and your families a safe and Happy Holiday,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
