Introducing Barkley Becker

When we moved back home from overseas,
we promised the kids a puppy.
Only problem, is that we built a house in Saskatoon
and did not finish the yard.
SO, we promised in the spring when we
had grass and a fence.
THEN we moved to Prince George.
FINALLY, the kidlets get their wish.

Introducing Barkley
Pure-bread black lab

he is so cute!

He adores the kids and their peanut butter sandwiches.

one day Brax will be bigger than Barkley,
for the time being, Barkley runs Brax's show.

Ness Lake

With the weather consistantly being so wonderful,
and Jason's time soon expiring from being at home
we took upon suggestions
and headed off - 20 minutes away to Ness Lake.

BC - where the trees are as high as the sky

one of the public areas

one of the bays

a beautiful way to spend a Saturday

Little did we know how much Barkely loved the water.

Best way to cool off!

Can't complain here!

Backyard Fun

A little over a week after we moved into our house
in Prince George, my parents were up for a visit.
On their way home from a wedding in BC,
they stopped in to visit.
Gigi inspected our new home and offered his expertise......
painting wall dings, hooking up the washing machine
and fixing the screen door.
Baba cooked and we enjoyed most lunches
and suppers on the deck with beautiful BC weather.

Gigi enjoyed the trampoline as much as the kids.

Trevor was over with just a phone call.
Always there to help.

Even though it took longer than we had expected,
the fence, the playhouse and the trampoline are up!
The kidlets are in heaven with their new backyard.

Beautiful BC - Prince George

We made it!
After 12 hours of driving, we are in our new home and almost settled.
The kids were PERFECT. Not one whine, groan or complaint throughout the whole drive here.
I unpacked majority of the house and had it setup in 5 days. Seriously.
I was SO excited to see what all of our furniture and decor was going to look like in the new house. The trampoline is already up which will be followed by a fence being built and the kids playhouse put together.
It is a gorgeous house in a wonderful area. Prince George has been treating us well with the warm weather and kind people. I have met alot of our neighbors and everyone is so welcoming.
Bella and Brax have already made friends with kids just across the street. SO, majority of their day consists of running in and out of ours and Mary's house across the street and bike-riding.
But I couldn't ask for anything else.
I do have one complaint. Just the one.
I do not appreciate Mama Bear and her cubs hanging out in my backyard. We learned our lesson by leaving out the garbage the one night. But like I mentioned before, we are putting up a fence.....
I am not interested in making friends with Bruce the Moose, Ricky the Racoon, or Mama Bear!
On that note,
Enjoy the rest of your summer and please keep in touch. xo
