Montreal, QC

Off to Quebec with my dad, it was quite the experience.
I was overwhelmed with joy - so proud of Jason for his
accomplishments with Team Canada Pacific.
He certainly fit the role as Head Coach behind the bench.

My dad and I toured Montreal, sometimes by choice and other times not -
the GPS my dad brought along kept taking us to Toronto.
This GPS also directed us to Victoriaville enroute a country road.
We eventually arrived in Victoriaville,  no thanks to the GPS
but because my dad was following the direction of the sun.
Yes, I travelled with Nanabush.
We did get lost a few times in Montreal and
thankfully  New Year's Eve  was one of them,
because we ended up in Old Town Montreal and it was spectacular!

My tastebuds get excited when I travel.
I had told my dad that there were three specific foods
I wanted to try while in Quebec.
Poutine.
Jaime: Dad, let's go to the Max Poutine restaurant for lunch.
Ed (Dad): Sure! Poutine, does that have chicken?
It must, I took grade 4 french class.
Jaime: Dad, you must have failed grade 4 french class because chicken in french is "poulet".
Poutine is gravy, cheese and fries.
We had poutine for lunch, it was excellent.
Crepes.
I suggested we find a restaurant well-reviewed for breakfast.
We found the perfect place but it was a matter of getting there -
downtown Montreal is a maze constructed of one way streets, etc.
And if you turn left even if the light has turned green,
you get a $160 ticket. Ok so there was some sign that says not to -
but whatever.
Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwiches.
We found the place without getting lost or receiving a traffic ticket.
It was perfect.

My dad and Coach Becker

The best person to watch hockey with is my dad.
He was patient with my elbows as I couldn't sit still -
the hockey was so intense!
He taught me about the referee calls - referees suck.
And we drank beer during the intermission.
